Confided to the talented hands of French architect Pierre-Jean Picart, who loves Polynesia, the hotel underwent a big renovation project that was finished in September 2002, with very pleasing results.
The 17 Garden Suite Bungalows, the 50 Overwater and 28 Beach Suite Bungalows(also called "fare"), as well as the 48 Garden View Rooms, were all decorated with a concern of combining a respect for the local traditions with non-conspicuous contemporary luxury. Noble woods and natural materials were elegantly used in the decor. These include parquet or bamboo, Méranti of Indonesia partitions, mahogany and wicker furniture and natural colored wall coverings. The furniture of distinguished and original lines, as well as objects made from Tahitian arts and crafts, (paintings, tapas...) compose a refined and harmonious ensemble and reinforce the Polynesian identity of this dream hotel. The only impediment to tradition (for the comfort of our guests), are the "fare" and rooms are all provided with a very modern air-conditioning system.

There is also "Hélène’Spa", an area of well-being that was the first Tahitian spa in Polynesia, and suggests a range of care treatments in small gorgeous “Fare” that are generously open to the surrounding nature.
